Hi! I’m Jo.
My creative journey began with a deep appreciation for the freedom and beauty of artistic expression, leading me to explore a wide range of creative mediums. My acceptance to the New Brunswick College of Craft & Design marked my debut in jewellery making, where my practice became more focused and intentional. I have since completed four years in Jewellery/Metal Arts at NBCCD, followed by one year of Advanced Studio Practice, where I found my stride.
My work continues to evolve as I explore the deeper aspects of the trade. My next body of work centres vintage natural pearls, and wax carved figures, further strengthening my connection to place, process, and material origin.
I was born and raised in The East Coast of Canada.
I am a goldsmith specializing in the up-cycling of antique and vintage jewellery, working with sterling silver, gold, precious gemstones, and pearls. My practice centres on reimagining existing materials, preserving their history while transforming them into contemporary, wearable pieces.
Inspired by nature and the east coast landscape, my work reflects organic forms, subtle textures, and a sense of movement shaped by time and environment. Sustainability and craftsmanship are fundamental to my process, with each piece made by hand and designed to endure.
